School counselors are asked to deliver Collaborative Classroom Instruction that is comprehensive in scope and developmental in design. Their curriculum is based on the Utah College and Career Readiness Student Mindsets and Competencies which is similar to a content core curriculum. Working with teachers to align instruction to the content standards ensures that students acquire competencies that are integrated and cross-curricular in nature, meaning that they are fully embedded into the context of the core curriculum whenever possible.
This survey consists of 20 questions that represent standards for student mindsets and competencies which help school counselors prepare lessons for collaborative classroom instruction, design effective individual Plan for College and Career Readiness meetings and support the social and emotional development of each students.
